Episode # 27: B School Rankings. A Farce? Of Course!!!

CUT TO - A Beautiful Mind. Scene - one Setting: An Ivy league School freshers batch being addressed by the Dean. "In medicine or economics, in technology or in space, battle lines are being drawn. To triumph we need results, publishable applicable results. Now who among you will be the next Morse, the next Einstein ? Who amoung you will be the vanguard of democracy, freedom and discovery ? Today we bequeath America's future into your able hands. Welcome to Princeton gentlemen." Now, that's a beautiful rant, ain't it? It is well worth it if the school lives up to the braggadocio! An MBA is the "in thing" in India among the "eager minds of tomorrow". We are not complaining. We hold that degree too. What we are against is the unprofessional methods of conditioning these eager minds to pick one B School from the other by publishing half baked survey reports based on perceptions and sheer lack of homework. Tell us what you think. Also, we are waiting for Joe Palos, the winner of the Indicast t-shirt to post us his pic so we could put it up on our site! Shashi and Lavanya: Thanks for letting us know what you felt!!! Yeah, the mood was a bit light, but as u said, we don???t want to be feather light! We did research a bit, but, may have tackled the issue in a jovial manner coz the topic of B School rankings here in India is a boring one. Every second mag. comes out with it and the B Schools advertise the same in their prospectus!

Indicast episode # 28 coming soon. Stay tuned.

Anandita: Yeah, we have the NGO topic in mind. Blame it on our time management skills. More often than not, we consume all our time talking about issues over the week and since we do not have a script in hand, we argue and reason with each other and lose track of time. But, we have that in mind.

Sonal: I hope Aditya has solved your problem by now! And he tells me that you are working on the Indicast T Shirt! Good Luck!
