Jet Airways flights to Gulf

Naresh Goyal likes to smile. All his pictures in the business magazines sport a mustached grin. Either he is a happy man, or his PR company selects his pictures that go in these magazines. The former seems unlikely with the Indian Aviation industry bringing in more bad news for the companies and proportionate good news to its customers. But, now, over time with heavy consolidation of the sector with players like Kingfisher, Indian and Jet gobbling up other airlines, the bloodbath of fares will end and there will be something in it for the players as well.
But, the Government’s decision to allow Jet Airways to fly over Kuwait, Bharain, Qatar, etc is the proverbial “Win Win situation” for both the customers as well as Jet! The prerogative over those skies was held by the state owned, Indian. Now, withsome healthy competition, the fares are expected to come down by 10 per cent. Naresh Goyal is not complaining because his fleet size can be well utilised and they will not languish in the hangars! The Government has finally lend its ear to private airlines and is open to the proposal of allowing many other companies including start up airlines to fly such routes if they qualify certain requirements! Now, Naresh Goyal is smiling for real.
