With all the companies wanting to be standards compliant like CMMi, PMP and all other three letter quality initiatives, a lot of us spend time documenting our work. And when you are not documenting, you are either preparing for a presentation to validate the raise that you got or bitching about your boss while smoking a cigarette in the smoker’s zone. I really can’t help you with the smoking but can definitely point you to resources that’ll make your life easier and prettier with templates that you can use at work.

Get one, pay for two, may sound amusing to those ears who are used to hearing; Buy one, get one free from the overzealous marketers falling over one another to attract consumers. But our HRD Minister, Mr. Arjun Singh thinks differently. He believes that the taxpayers’ money should be spent doubly for the education of one poor child. Otherwise why would he come out with this indigenous idea of making 25% reservation for the poor in private schools?

Amazon buys audible

With the news about Microsoft’s hostile bid for Yahoo out in the papers, a very interesting acquisition news came through too. Amazon announced that it has acquired Audible for $300 million. This is almost a no brainer and $300 million well spent by Amazon.

This story has already been over reported in all sorts on only media but it is very difficult to hold myself back to write about it. So basically what happened was that Microsoft wrote a love letter to the Yahoo board saying that its is ready to pay $31 per share in cash or stock which if you do the numbers correctly comes to about $44 billion.
