10 years ago it was Fedex. Today, it’s Google; arguably the most famous proper noun which doubles up as a verb. In the physical world, ‘Fedex it!’ is a common phrase if you want to parcel your stuff from one part of the globe to another. The Dam of Woes

Every time I witness the grandeur of the Himalayas I get more and more enchanted by its majestic appeal and never ending beauty. One of the most astonishing places on the planet, “The Garhwal Hills” or Dev Bhoomi as it is popularly known, has changed for ever. With the work of Tehri Dam coming to a conclusion the water of the sacred Bhagirathi (the most prominent of the tributaries of the Ganges) is devouring the 200 year old town of Tehri. As I am writing this article the town of Tehri would be submerged under water. Ten thousand families have evacuated their native place for this Dam to become a reality.
