Film Notes: ‘The International’

Tom Tykwer, the director of The International previously made Perfume: The Story of a Murderer. I happened to stumble across that film while wanting to stop pressing the buttons on my remote and it gave me reason. After a while, I forgot to switch out even during the breaks, not wanting to miss even a few seconds of the post-break return. That film had a magnetic charm, much like a good perfume which has a Proustian essence.

IPL falls prey to politics

The IPL is slated to move out of India for this season as the government feels ill equipped to provide security protection for the matches because the IPL dates are clashing with the election dates. So we will still have the India Premier League but out side India. It may have sounded really funny if we did not have millions riding on this decision.

The hard core reality of the fashion world is the the way models are treated, their rise and fall, Wild lifestyles, superb styling, wardrobe malfunctions, tantrums thrown by models, casting couch, drug addicted models, gay designers, aspiring models paid for attending page three parties as they are thought to be the arm candy. Models are nothing more than mannequins and their only job is to make a designer’s clothes look awesome.
