It’s time to take the blindfold off

It’s been more than 5 months since the November 26th terrorist attack and justice is still not out to the sole captured terrorist Kasab. What seemed to be an open and shut case and the biggest crime in the country last year is still entangled in the Indian judiciary web. I fail to understand why are we even discussing and giving so much importance to his age. Even if he is below 18, hang him, I say. Change the law if needed. Can’t we make an extra provision in our law for a criminal as big as him? The whole world is watching our actions and I believe we are just looking like fools to the international media by showering so much attention on the accused terrorist. Did he allow the ones that died to meet their loved ones in their last moment? Then why on earth his mother should be allowed to meet him. Why should he be given a perfume for God’s sake? Is he in jail to woo women with his fragrance or he is planning to appear in the next AXE ad? If his barrack stinks, let it stink. It’s by design! Won’t the loved ones of the people he killed live in the stench of their blood all their lives?
What are we waiting for? Another Kandahar highjacking case to take place so that Kasab is let out by keeping innocent people at ransom. These terrorists don’t even think a moment before taking so many innocent lives. More than 60 people died by this man’s blind shooting. This is should be the only point highlighted about him. Everything else doesn’t matter. Even our neighbouring Sri Lanka has taken task in their own hands and is determined to wipe out LTTE not giving a damn about the UN or the various human right activists. US, Israel have gone ahead with their plans whenever they thought that national security was compromised. And look at us, 8 years down the line and we are still wondering whether we should hang Afzal Guru!! Can anything be more stupid than this??
I am using such strong language because it makes me sick in the stomach to watch trivial issues about Kasab in media daily. It seems like Ramalinga Raju will also be soon forgotten and the public anger will die out. It’ll road clear the road for Raju to quietly make his way out taking advantages of the loopholes in our judiciary and corrupt government practices. Take the case of Praveen Mahajan who supposedly killed Pramod Mahajan in broad daylight and if I believe the media he had clearly killed his brother. Its been 3 years and this man has not yet been convicted. He is now writing and releasing his autobiography. Wow!! If such high profile cases takes so long to be resolved than why would a common man like me even think about going to the court for justice? After all I need the justice for me not a court case that my grandchildren would have to follow up on.
