The Human Body

By abhishek at 19 June, 2008, 2:30 pm

A lot of things in our lives are taken for granted by us. One of the most incredible of which is the Human Body. Every Morning when we wake up, we do not think about this utensil that we are using day in and day out but about the next thing that we are going to do with this utensil. Still this assembly line of various systems aligned together remains beyond the comprehension of the present state of our mind. We get fascinated by the latest gadget or gizmo in town but we treat this most amazing gizmo indifferently.

Everyone does a few things as routine like walking, running. If I tell you that if you run, the pressure put on your legs and feet is a mindboggling 5000 pounds per inch. But the beauty of the architecture of the human body is that the nature has provided us with a fluffy bone called cartilage. These cartilages are present everywhere in the body where two bones are joining. Our ear is also made up of the cartilage bone. This fluffy character present in the skeleton withstands this much amount of pressure by absorbing the shock. So we do not even come to know about the enormity of pressure on us.

The extreme limits that our body faces are not confined to a few mundane activities. But in order to complete all our tasks through each day it is imperative that all our systems are working simultaneously and continuously. All the systems running together and in order makes us see each day to attain our goals in life.

There is no other machine created by Man that can achieve the feats of the anatomy of human body. The best technology ever produced is our own possession but we seldom seem to realise it. We seldom seem to try to unleash the full potential that resides within this vessel that nature has provided us with. More so sometimes we do not believe in this mechanism at all and let it ruin especially at the time when a disease has occurred and forget that this body has been endowed with all the antidotes to heal itself.

It is in our hands to take care of this wonderful machine and make it work to realise whatever we want to whether physical or spiritual just by paying a little attention and understanding how this inimitable engineering works.
Thus the power of state of the art technology is already in our hands and may the almighty guide our intellect to create a better world from it.
