iPhone’s India Connection!

Steve baba returns: A full circle?
Later in his life, he was jettisoned from Apple Computers Inc, the company he created because of some scuffle with the Directors and possibly some other reasons as well. But, today, after he was recalled to resurrect his company, he changed the entertainment industry with the Apple iPod, renamed his company to Apple Inc and now he is attempting to change the way the mobile telephony industry operates. And India has got something to do it. A tiny bit…
Geodesic Information Systems a company from Mumbai is contributing to the iPhone by building applications. Apparently, the iPhone doesn’t have a native messaging client (like MSN messenger, yahoo messenger) and Geodesic Information Systems is the only company which can offer it.
All in One
For those who still have their friends spread across different Internet Messengers (IMs) like Skype, Yahoo messenger, G Chat, MSN Messenger, etc, it is a pain to open up all these applications on the computer because of two reasons:
-
Computer Speed: The system tray is burdened with too many applications running at the same time and you moan that your comp has slowed down.
- Net Speed: The net crawls at a snail’s pace. (I use 64 Kbps at home!)
Not very long ago, Geodesic has developed a single interface which will help you connect with all your friends in one single window. It doesn’t matter whether they are on MSN or yahoo or any other IM. And now it will replicate this success onto the iPhone!
India is the only country from where Apple has sourced its software skills in the iPhone. So, let’s hope when the iPhone is out there in 2008, India gets some privilege discount!
