Radiohead releases DRM free songs

In November, RadioHead made a lot of friends online for being the first ever mainstream music band to offer their music online on a pay what you want model. Now they want to make their fans even happier by broadcasting their New Year Eve concert online for free. The pre-recorded concert with all songs from their latest album, In Rainbows , in its entirety will be available on current.tv .
The thing that I like about this story is that Radiohead is taking its web presence very seriously. It’s only a matter of time that other bands will realize the importance of web. In fact, I would go as far as saying that a web strategy for entertainment industry is not optional anymore. It’s a must have.
