Tech Tip: Gmail multiple view

Gmail has had the labels features ever since it launched and although I dont use it as much, it is a handy way to auto-sort your emails to keep you inbox clutter free. For example, if you subscribe to the Mckinsey Newsletter (I highly recommend it), you could create a label and all your email related to Mckinsey Newsletter would skip the inbox and go under this label. Here is a quick “How-to” on Gmail Labels.

Octavian “Vivi” Costache a software engineer at Google used the 20% of his “pet projects” time to come up with this feature where you can divide up your inbox to give you a view of your inbox as well as emails marked with labels. So if you are a person so is heavily into labels in Gmail, this might save you some time.

The feature is currently available under the labs section in Gmail Settings and then you can configure whatever you want to see.
